that moose (and deer and elk, and a good portion of their cousins, etc. etc.) are really not the brightest kids in the classroom! Eh?

... any road traffic. There are bears and moose that can be anywhere. My wife and I were walking our son's dog one morning, and I told my wife, don't jump, there's moose and calf over there. She says, I know you, riiiight, there's a moose over ... hey, Marble - there's a moose and calf over there!" So we just walked carefully past, within 20 or so feet. The dog never even saw the moose. Or he was chill for the first time.

Never saw a bear, but the bear resistant trash bins in 16ga steel set in concrete testified they were around.
