First video I've ever seen of a mother descending and staying at depth as the young one surfaces alone for a breath before returning to mom. Mom's teachable moment?

We didn’t want to leave and give up our spot to see the most amazing gathering of the wales and their newborns.. was an experience I won’t forget. Great video..thanks for bringing back memories 🌺

We stayed at Lahaina shores and spent hours and hours on the hill at the scenic lookout at Maalaea Bay watching whales. Pure magic. Maybe we crossed paths, lol.

We went back every year or two until Type I DM took him. I took a break for a couple of years, but went back to scatter his ashes at our favorite spot in Napili. I haven't gone back since the winter before the Lahaina fire, but I've made arrangements for next year.

Been to Maui twice but haven’t been in many years..we took the road to Hana (heaven) both times and never wanted to leave. When you go back, let us know how they’re doing with the rebuilding since the fires. 🌺
