Related: About this forumThis is a very early photo, from before I went digital. It was scanned from film.
We were in Wyoming, I think, where I got this photo. I thought it was good enough to resurrect!

Love the clouds in this photo.

CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)Wyoming has clouds in addition to mountains and the occasional rainbow!

(97,567 posts)I like all the features mentioned above but I also like the shadow of the clouds on the landscape! I'm merely a few miles from the Wyoming border, it sure does look a lot like that around here. It's hard to find a not scenic view, though how you capture it makes all the difference.
I like looking through my old pictures, I can usually find one or two worth bringing back to the surface.
This is a good one!
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)I agree: the shadows and clouds are beautiful.
When I was there, and saw the rainbow, I knew i had to try and capture it. I was thrilled when it worked!

(621 posts)Maybe I'm just REALLY old, but, I think theres just something very artistic about old fashioned film and time in the dark room.
I also still have a crush on Orville & Wilbur Wright, both of whom are only slightly older than me 🤭🤣
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)I'm afraid darkrooms are beyond me! And I'm sure you're nowhere near Orville & Wilbur Wright's age!
I have found my home in the digital world and there I expect to stay!

Looks great! What's the scanner you used?
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)I'm not sure which scanner I used, since they break down and get replaced quite often (every 3 or 4 years!)
Right now I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. It works very well--so far!
