I did a garden crawl this morning and built a quick slideshow. With the exception of Loquats and Carambola the photos were taken today. Things should be a little further along but we are having a longer than normal dry season. Hope you enjoy.

(126,336 posts)getting our gardens started. Commin wisdom is we don't plant until at least Mothers' Day, or, preferably, Memorial Day. (Freezes and snow are not uncommon even in late May).

we pretty much grow year round but every two or three years we get a frost, perhaps one or two day, this year was frost free

(154,862 posts)And what a beautiful garden you have! Full of delicious fruits and vegetables, ready to be eaten once they're ripe.
Thank you so much.

(9,755 posts)we grow a little of a lot of things all on 1/2 acre. some things go entirely to wildlife. as an example, the Barbados Cherry in the photo was gone later in the afternoon. not pictured are Peaches that the squirrels eat green and a Sugar Apple that has yet to bear. The small fruit is rarely in a quantity to collect but more for daily grazing.

(9,755 posts)I almost used a hosting site but it becomes time consuming posting that many to two different sites. Looks like 22 individuals did click through and view the show.
