Monarch on butterfly weed (a species of milkweed)




Red admiral on crown vetch

The colors are so vivid, and that shade of green complements the orange perfectly!

Do you know what those berries are? We have a mulberry tree with very similar looking fruit. Mainly food for the birds … unless you step on one with white sneakers. They can make quite a stain!

Were you able to eat a few of the ripe wild blackberries?

When we were kids we'd take our bikes out in the country and eat wild asparagus that grew along a fence line! I still like asparagus.
