(154,856 posts)My gawd, dear girl, do you ever sleep? You seem to be here at all hours. Or maybe it's just my imagination!
So pleased that you like my photo.

Yes. The moon rises a little later on each successive night. The moon is in its third quarter which means it rises after midnight.

(154,856 posts)By no means am I an astronomer, but I was aware that the moon would be up when I was. I checked a chart I have and it told me that yes, it's there!
So I peeked out my window, and voila! I was very happy.

(7,794 posts)..........and about that moon. We've got a similar nocturnal phenomenon on the right coast. Perhaps, a bit more jetlagged having left Spain only a few hours before.

(154,856 posts)Insomnia regularly plagues me, but I don't often have such a sweet cure as I did last night!
Hope your jetlagged state leaves you very soon.

Moon shots are one of my favorite types of photos to take, and this one helped me relax and feel like myself after a hectic and slightly unpleasant day! I was able to sleep after I got this photo.
