the lunar eclipse (thru thin clouds)

I had to fight clouds of varying thickness and some wind to shoot the eclipse. i ended up stacking the best frames from a 30 second video in a free program called siril
shot using a seestar s50 telescope

Thank you. I heard Kimmel mention it but had just crawled into two goose down bags for the night and it was too cold to come back out. I keep the heat off unless the pipes are at risk. I have to wipe away the frozen vapor a few times a night from the outer surface of the bags.
When we get great again, I can have heat.
Great picture. I should have toughed it out to view.

I’m so mad at myself. I set my alarm an hour apart starting at just after midnight to wake up and go out and watch the progress of the eclipse. I don’t know if I forgot to set the last alarm or what the heck I did but I went outside and the shadow was about 3/4 over the moon. My last alarm didn’t happen and I woke myself up at a little after 4am and it was done. I missed the best part of the eclipse. I’m very glad to see your beautiful photograph of the moon. Thanks for posting it!
