My wife and I were recently in Holland for the tulip season. We visited the Keukenhof gardens outside of Amsterdam which are 79 acres of some 7 million tulips and other spring flowers. It's the largest flower garden in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Its only open for about 8 weeks while the spring flowers are in bloom. It was breathtaking, truly a peak experience.

Really though it would be difficult to take a bad picture there. It's so beautiful. These were all taken with my couple of years old Samsung android.

(68 posts)Wonderful pictures! I was there in 2008 with my father and didn't take a nice camera, but still got some nice pics. It was a bit overcast in late April, but sun came out later. I believe the end of the season is mid May? It's a place you never forget!!

(5,110 posts)It was open this year from March 20 to May 11. Next year the dates are March 19 to May 10. I'm happy you were able to get there a few years ago. If one loves flowers and gardens it's a bucketlist must do. I had no idea it would be so wonderful. I was in awe the entire time.
