Here's one I forgot! Microgreens that are grown by some friends of mine:

(255 posts)That 1st one certainly takes the prize with the pop of white blooms really embraces the perfect angle of sunlight! Outstanding!

(154,856 posts)When I saw those flowers, I hoped to be able to capture both elements. Sometimes things go the way you hope!

(3,394 posts)brought them home and made a stab at cooking them.
A few years ago we were at Morro Rock and found abalone at the fish market. Cruising in my 1970 Airstream. Tried to pound it out and saute. First time.
Nothing special, but at $20 a shell, decided not to refine my talents. Still, have the shell on display in a bookcase.
Hear so many good stories about squash blossoms. Must be a great market.

(154,856 posts)You are way braver than I am! I rarely try cooking anything unless the person selling can give me a recipe!
This market is small but they do have a couple of vendors that bring wonderful things.

(38,098 posts)The first one, somehow the tiny light purple flowers amid the darker purple ones almost look like sunlight reflecting off of glass. Your eye saw it and your camera caught it. Very nicely done, Peggy!

(154,856 posts)You saw something that I didn't! I understand it, since you're an accomplished artist in your own right.
Thank you for mentioning how it looked to you.
I appreciate your wonderful critique very much!

(154,856 posts)I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I normally go to two farmer's markets every week.
Tuesday for the Manhattan Beach market.
Thursday for El Segundo's market.
It's rare that I don't have photos from both!
