I love seeing all these everyday scenes from around your farm, I can see loud and clear you both love what you’re doing and love taking care of all your animals. You sure live in beautiful surroundings.

As the granddaughter, niece, and sister of farmers, I love farms. And horses. Lots of good childhood memories of farms, both vacations and weekends at my grandfather's farm, and years when we lived in a huge rented farmhouse a few miles from a small city where my dad managed the radio station (horses to ride on both that farm and a neighbor's, and a quarter-mile asphalt driveway that was perfect for a motorized go-kart Dad built us...and when he finally bought a house in town after a winter when a blizzard made it necessary to leave the car by the highway and trudge more than half a mile through drifts, the house was on a cul de sac bordering an acreage with horses we could ride). I've lived in NYC and a number of other cities, but I'm still a country girl at heart.

Your photos bring so many smiles, and memories of other farms, and horses, and pets.

14. You're welcome Lois. Thanks! We ran a boarding barn for horses for years.

The picture of two horses running was our advertising photo. The boarding business was successful. We had wonderful horse owners work with us and in return we received their monthly "rent" checks with favorable compliments for taking care of their retired horsies.
