Uplifting and Adorable in Hard Times

I had to get my car inspected today. I was in a dingy waiting room. Stenciled on the wall were two sentences:
"DO NOT TRY TO PET THE DOG, HE WILL BITE" and the other "DO NOT REACH INTO THE OPENING OF THE GLASS AT THE PAYMENT WINDOW."
Intimidated, expecting Cujo behind the glass I approached to pay, keeping my distance, asking: "Is the dog nearby?"
And then I saw this:

A grandmother was running the little business, and she was raising her 3 year old grandchild between customer interruptions.
This made my day so much happier.

I was surprised to see the actual dog I was alerted to, and I wanted to surprise you too, but that could not be done.
I will print the photo and take it to my grandmother. She mentioned that a little girl is expected around the turn of the year, and I bet she will be handling the childcare, which the Orange Cocksplatch has proven he has no idea what that means to people.
I digress.
I cropped the photo.
There was a burned-out light in the room of the happy child and the happy dog, and a toilet about a foot away.
It all seems so wrong until you see there is happiness to be created and found, as long as we are not in Gaza.
I digress again.

And sending blessings to the grandmother. She must be someone special.
