New video, out now: THE MILWAUKEE ROAD - A RAILFAN'S JOURNEY [HD 1080p]
Many years ago, I went on a road & rail trip across the Pacific Northwestern U.S. to document what remained of what was once the world's longest electrified railroad - The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad, also known as the Milwaukee Road.
The video of that trip was filmed in Super 8mm film that I've converted to digital.
Today much of the route the route lies abandoned. However, until 2004 a tour train known as the Montana Daylight ran alongside the old Milwaukee mainline.
In this video we'll visit the entire Milwaukee electrification by both road & rail. And because the Montana Daylight is no longer in operation, one of the only ways to see this route by rail is to watch this video.
