Holy Cross Energy releases 2026 election results

Holy Cross Energy, a local electrical cooperative serving the Roaring Fork Valley and much of Western Colorado, elected two members to the Board of Directors last Thursday.

Out of the five candidates that ran for two seats in two Holy Cross districts, Sarah Smith Hymes was elected to represent the Northern District, and Dave Munk was re-elected to represent the Southern District, according to a press release. Smith Hymes won 54% of the votes cast for her district, and Munk won 57.8%. The Holy Cross Board of Directors has seven members that serve four-year terms.

The board meets periodically to make strategic decisions about the cooperative’s actions based on the best interests of regional communities. Board members are required to represent their respective districts’ fairly and impartially.

Munk has served on the board since 2010.
