One person was killed in an apparent workplace accident on the National Mall as a crew delivered a 1979 “art car” painted by Andy Warhol.

D.C. emergency crews were called to 12th Street between Jefferson and Madison drives, east of the Washington Monument, at about 3 p.m. Wednesday and found a person critically injured in a box truck, authorities told News4.

“Dear PoPville,

Something is happening at the mall? The police won’t say anything other than it is a crime scene and an accident and that someone may have been injured.

Hmm, I wonder if something went wrong while setting up Cars at the Capital?

Updates if/when more is known.
