Niles Township election officials offer no clarity on confusion over marijuana ballot proposals

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Two ballot proposals regarding marijuana establishments in Niles Charter Township are sparking some confusion ahead of the Nov. 4 election.

The first question – Shall Zoning Ordinance Amendment 25-01, that amends the Niles Charter Township Zoning Ordinance to provide specific regulations for Adult Use Marihuana Establishments and Facilities within the Township, be approved and take effect?

The second – Shall the ‘’Niles Charter Township Prohibition of Marihuana Establishments Ordinance" be approved?

WNDU 16 News Now sought more clarity from the township on these ballot measures, but they refused to discuss it with us.
