Election 2026: Douglas County election commission sends first primary ballots

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Douglas County Election Commission has sent out the first ballots for Nebraska’s statewide primary election.

Voters who submitted a valid request for an early ballot can expect to get theirs by the end of the week. Voters who requested a ballot can check the status of their application online.

Ballots are mailed in “Kraft” colored envelopes, measuring approximately 6 inches by 9 inches, and a return envelope is included in the ballot.

If several people in the same household requested a ballot and did not receive all the ballots, voters are asked to wait for two days to allow for postal processing time.
