Passaic Sheriff Backs Cruz (D), Veliky (D) For Passaic Commissioner
Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo is backing Orlando Cruz and Nick Veliky in the Democratic primary for Passaic County Commissioner.
Cruz is an incumbent, and Veliky, a Clifton Democratic leader, is seeking the open seat left by Bruce James, a longtime commissioner who is retiring this year. They face a primary opponent from Al Aljarrah, a political advisor to CAIR Action NJ, and a member of Passaic Countys burgeoning Arab American community.
Adamo is also backing Surrogate Zoila Cassanova for a second term. She is unopposed.
Nick Veliky, Orlando Cruz, and Zoila Cassanova understand the importance of public service and putting residents first, stated Adamo. They have been supportive of programs and services families rely on through the Sheriffs department. They are committed to keeping Passaic County affordable and safe. Im proud to support them.
