Millburn Township referendum to switch from party affiliated municipal elections to non-partisan.

The vote is 50 to remain partisan. This, out of 2882 votes.

I wish the referendum had passed.

But the predominant local party will typically recruit their members as candidates, whom it hopes to groom for municipal elected positions in the future and also to support that party’s political agenda while serving on that board.
