Albuquerque mayor candidates face off in final televised debate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE News 13 is hosting the final televised debate of the 2025 Albuquerque mayoral race. Monday at 6 p.m., we’ll hear from the final two candidates battling to become the city’s next mayor. Current Mayor Tim Keller (D) and former Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White (R) emerged as the top candidates in the general election in November. Neither candidate secured the 50% threshold needed to win.

You can watch the debate on FOX New Mexico, KRQE.com, or the KRQE Now streaming app. The debate will also be housed in this post.

Tim Keller is seeking his third consecutive term as Albuquerque’s mayor. Earlier in his career, Keller served as state senator for the International District from 2008 to 2014. He was also the state auditor from 2015 to 2017.

Darren White was elected Bernalillo County Sheriff in 2002 and again in 2006. He was also appointed as Albuquerque’s public safety director in 2009. White later co-founded the medical marijuana producer PUR-Life, which he has since sold.
