New precincts and polling location changes for November election

Some Medina County residents will vote at a new polling location for the election on Tuesday.

Medina County Board of Elections Director Nicole Mickley provided an election update during the commissioners meeting on Tuesday. There are 30 questions and issues alongside contested candidate races from all over the county on the ballot.

“Currently, in Medina County, we have 131,265 registered voters, so down a little bit from the presidential (election),” she said. “That’s to be expected with cleaning up voter rolls and things like that.”

The number of precincts in Medina County has increased because the Ohio Revised Code puts a limit on the number of voters in a precinct, Mickley said. The board of elections looked at precincts this summer and made changes.
