Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids continue to echo across Texas and the nation, the latest spotting taking place near a San Antonio tourist hotspot. Agents were seen at a construction site near the Historic Pearl district and on the River Walk.
A MySA staff member witnessed the tail end of the incident and described the aftermath at the construction site. Several workers were seen suddenly fleeing, pushing open a back gate and abandoning hard hats and high-visibility vests, which were left scattered along the walkway.
Roughly five agents were seen in the area some in plain clothes wearing chest plates labeled with FBI and DEA. It was noted that some agents wore face coverings and were seen circling the surrounding area near the River Walk.
It remains unclear how many workers, if any, were detained at the scene. A witness told MySA they believe some workers were taken into custody, but that has not been confirmed.
