Kronenwetter to consider election rule rewrite, ballot drop box ahead of primary
KRONENWETTER – Village trustees Monday will consider rewriting local election rules and reinstalling an absentee ballot drop box before the Aug. 11 partisan primary.
The Kronenwetter Village Board meets at 6 p.m. July 13 in the lower-level board room at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center, 1582 Kronenwetter Drive.
The election ordinance discussion follows a Feb. 16 Wisconsin Elections Commission decision that found probable cause of violations or abuses of discretion in three complaints involving the village’s previous election practices.
The meeting packet lists five complaints filed between March and November 2024. The commission’s consolidated decision resolved four of them but does not address the status of the fifth, identified as EL 24-110.
