Ow!

Clicked on a video, and when I went to turn up the volume got a loud and continuous squeal. Thought it was that video, so just clicked off. But when I tried to listen to something else, the squeal was still there. Can hear talk behind it, but it's very faint. And I can't figure out where it came from or how to get rid of it. Any ideas???

right click the speaker icon, choose sounds, click on playback tab, realtek audio should be selected, click on that, click on properties, go to advanced tab, it should be at 16 bit 48000 hz (dvd quality). Let me know.
