Need some guidance, please!
I'm posting from my 10-year-old Toshiba laptop. The newer one (about 3 years old) is acting up. When I turn it on, my screen comes up but when I try to sign in the screen goes black; the cursor shows and I can move it around, but that's it. When my normal login screen comes back, it still goes black when I try to sign in. Trying not to panic, working on some stuff for local Dems events, kinda need to get in there to do that. Anybody have any ideas?

...on the side. If you know someone with a standard vga monitor, you can connect their cable and monitor to your laptop to determine if the problem is with the screen built in to your laptop.
