Oceans Are Warming? Senate Republicans Disagree. - Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

May 12 - Senator Whitehouse takes to the Senate Floor to ask if his colleagues can agree on this one, simple truth: oceans are warming.

The reality of climate change is made up of many, many simple truths. Today’s simple truth: our oceans are warming. We should all be able to agree on that.

Sheldon Whitehouse represents Rhode Island in the U.S. Senate, where he champions policies to uphold American leadership in the world, protect our planet in a changing climate, and hold the powerful accountable.

That is..
Hi Rhiannon. I have eschewed emojis as they could lead various Darwin Awards nominees to incorrectly conclude one is friendly and gullible. I hope you are well. Sen Whitehouse is okay.

So I'm distracting myself and I think a lot of Senator Whitehouse since he refuses to accept defeat on the issue of climate change and keeps trying to educate his fellow senators and the public as well.

Last year I went to a 90th birthday celebration for my Dad's cousin Esther, really talented woman who is still making amazing quilts and her four sons are really proud of her. When I first sat down it turned out I was sitting next to her niece who told me that she just got in the previous night from her home in Rhode Island. So I couldn't resist, brought up Senator Whitehouse. I don't know if she didn't know who he was or what, but she turned away and started talking to somebody else.
