Why the U.S. Bombed Iran: A Closing Window and Centrifuge Frustrations? - William Spaniel



Last night, the United States attempted to deliver a knockout blow on Iran's nuclear program. While we wait for damage assessments and draw conclusions about whether it was successful, today we focus on why the United States conducted the attack at all. Going beyond the basic preventive war logic, we focus on two critical bargaining frictions that made reaching a deal more difficult. We will also briefly touch on the retaliation the United States will soon face.
