The U.S. build up near the Persian Gulf has been well-documented, but we are just now getting an idea about the scope of the mobilization. While these situations can end without a war actually happening, the military plan the United States is telegraphing is major. Today, we look into the metal headed toward the region, what it says about the sincerity of U.S. threat to Iran, and what might happen over the next few days and weeks.

3. Doubt It Will Be

Regal Republicans. Trump, Hegseth, W and most of the others avoid the dirty work of war. It’s too beneath them.

That said, I don’t think Iran has many friends of any stature left to help them. Sending most of their weaponry to Russia in hindsight was not a good play. They no longer have large stockpiles and Putin is in no position to provide any cover. And hoping for Iran to land some lucky punches against the US is to side with someone who literally killed thousands of its own people and is one of the most repressive and blood thirsty regimes in history.
