If its cultural and not genetic then can I decide that I am Jewish? Can anyone? I would never do so but it seems like that is what you are saying.
Not that there is anything wrong with being Jewish at all. Just want to make that clear.

The first love of my life was a Jewish girl. She was told by her father she couldn’t see me because I wasn’t the correct religion.

Genetic, cultural, and religious.

You can convert to Judaism. - religious
you can be non religious, but still consider yourself to be Jewish. - Cultural
Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi all can trace genetically their roots back to the area known as Israel. Ashkenazi all have genetic ties. Same for Sephardic Jews having genetic ties, and Mizrahi Jews have genetic ties.

"You're not Jewish" = you're not one of us

According to those who defend the sale of Palestinian lands in the West Bank at American synagogues, if you are a Jewish voice for peace who opposes that, you're no longer part of the tribe.

Isn't targeting or isolating Jews based on their political views regarding Israel anti-semitic? Hmmm...

There is precedent for that in our society to use what would be a derogatory term as a familiar one but this is not the case. This is people using it in a obvious derogatory way. I fail to see how this would be ok and labeling it as anti-Semitic should be easy for any of us.

Is it akin to telling a Christian that they are not a Christian? Because I have done so when their behavior is frequently at odds with the teaching of Christ.
