It is only 18 June & I have a heat headache & little desire to make anything warm.
I make gazpacho soup, pasta salads, never the same mix twice, greens based salads and different types of tuna salads.
I need some more cold meals advice. I am willing to cook noodles & rice at 3 am for meals later
Oh yeah I can grill outside.

(97,101 posts)Embrace the melon family, cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumber, other wet melons. They help reduce body temps and relieve heat exhaustion.
Make salads that include or feature them.

I like cold soups in hot weather, especially Eastern European cold soups. They're easy to make: take a bunch of plums, chop them roughly, stew with a cinnamon stick, some water, sugar if needed, lemon juice. Then puree with a food mill (fish the stones out first!) add milk or cream or yogurt or buttermilk to taste, chill, and eat.
