Breakfast Friday 13 March 2026

Later this morning I am planning on scrambled tofu with spinach, onions, mushrooms and a pot of hot tea to drink. There will also be doughnuts
I have a friend taking me to the grocery early today, at 9. I am not a morning person in general, so I offered a bribe to my ride. 🍩🍩🍩

My cauliflower cheese pie is essentially a quiche.

I’m going to modify the mango chutney that goes with it. I’ll add more mango to it by using dried mango, which will rehydrated using fruit juice. In addition, I think I’ll put in some Craisins.

Turkey bacon slice to go with it. Crispy, of course!

I was reading about chutneys last night during a fit of insomna. Wikipedia has an article which lists all the different types of chutneys. Now I am inspired to make different types of chutney.

I would read about a chutney, look at the recipe, and then fall asleep and dream about it. I had a partner in my chutney making process. I did this with several different types of chutney, such as tomato and coriander. Fun dreams.

My 50th wedding anniversary is tomorrow. I offered Loretta a trip to the Greek Island Corfu, she said no. I offered her a trip to San Juan, she said no. She doesn't care for flying. I offered her a nearby trip to French Lick, Indiana at a fancy resort, and she said no. She said let's just stick close to home and eat out a lot. So far this week we have ate out three times. Tonight we are going to the Moon Glo Tavern in Danville, and grill our own steaks.

Being home is the happiest. Warm, loving, and sleeping in your own bed at night. What a life 🥰❤️
