My mother used to call Martini "Martubby"

I've only ever had short-haired cats in my life. Martini is the first medium-haired cat I've ever had.
Mother: "What's the fat black one's name again?"
Me: "Martini"
Mother: "Oh yeah, Martubby."
Me: "She's not fat, she's FURRY."
Mother: "Just keep telling yourself that."
In her younger days, I used to say "Come here, Martini" and she would come running and my mother would always laugh and say "She doesn't walk, she waddles."
The funny thing was, at the time, Holly weighed 9.1 pounds and Martini weighed 8.9 pounds. My mother never believed it.

2. Sometimes she could be hilarious.

She always thought I was funny too, even when I wasn't trying to be.

She passed away in 2016.
