Pedigree recalls dog food over sharp metal and plastic pieces

https://wreg.com/news/nation-and-world/pedigree-recalls-dog-food-over-sharp-metal-and-plastic-pieces/

Snip

The recall covers 13.2-ounce cans of Pedigree Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor from lot codes 613C3KKCFC and 613C1KKCFC.

Mars said the two lots had failed the company’s quality checks and were sent to be destroyed. Mars later learned that didn’t happen, and the cans were instead sold to consumers across the country.

Chicken based cat food - I mash it up with some water and check for bits of bone.

Yet to find any, or bits of metal or plastic, but eternal vigilance is called for!
