22-year-old Trey Yesavage is setting the baseball world on fire!!!

The rising star pitcher for the Blue Jays just turned 22 three months ago.

With tonight's appearance on the mound, he has made more postseason starts (5) than Triple-A starts (4).

He started this year at Single-A level ball. Then was promoted to High-A. Then to Double-A. Then to Triple-A. Then to MLB.

In 98 total innings pitched across the minor leagues, he finished with a 5-1 record, a 3.12 ERA, and 160 strikeouts. He posted a stellar 41.1% strikeout rate, the best among all minor league pitchers with at least 50 innings pitched.

Then tonight...

The Blue Jay's Addison Barger hit the first grand slam by
a pinch hitter in World Series history.

Maybe it's because the Blue Jays are that good. Regardless, if the BJs get to Friday night's Dodger pitcher early this series will be over. They shelled Othani. Impressive.

It's Yamamoto for the Dodgers and Gausman for the Jays.

Yamamoto was dominant for L.A. in Game 2. He pitched a complete game, only allowed four hits and one run. Struck out eight.

Can he repeat that sort of performance or even come close? We'll know soon enough.

...when facing "unhittable" Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. October baseball brings out the best and proves you can't always buy a championship. Toronto will be rockin'. (I'd love to see a game 7!)
