Sounds like the nightingale is back!

We had one that returned for years and years. Then it's been strangely quiet for the pat couple years. I've heard one again for the pat couple nights. I even wrote a Haiku about it!

Nightingale
In the coal black sky
It buzzes into the night
A magical sound

I was driving across south central Texas in the middle of the night on a full moon. I was many miles from anywhere and decided I just needed to stop and take in the night for a few minutes. Another driver stopped with me because it was the middle of nowhere and not far from the border.

We shut it all down and walked about 100 ft from the vehicles and their little cooling down sounds and found that those sounds were soon drowned out by the roar of millions of nightingales singing loudly!

Never forgot that magical moment. Kept me awake long enough to get many miles down the road that night.
