... even considering Ronaldo was unfit, the US can do for Belgium who have been very unimpressive so far.

They do seem to score some late goals which that probably means they're pretty fit, so it's probably best to Dempsey a couple past their keeper (the admittedly excellent Courtois) early in the game and settle it quickly.

I'm saying this is a 50/50 proposition.

The USA have a decent chance of beating Belgium, as long as they play at their best and Belgium continue to underperform.

I think advancing past the quarter-finals is a game too far.

we could have won the damn thing at the end of regulation. And we came so close to sending it to penalties!

I'd have liked our chances in a shootout with Timmy in goal.
