The Bishop's Wife......

85% Tomatoes, 81% popcorn meter. Love Cary Grant as the angel, not a huge fane of Loretta Young....but David Niven is good as the Bishop. Great Christmas mo ie.

Had to screen it first to be sure I could introduce it properly.

Did you notice the young George Bailey from Its a Wonderful Life with the kids in the snow? ❄️ you can’t miss his voice.

I could watch it at any time of the year, not just Christmas time.

Also not a big fan of Loretta Young. But Niven and Grant? More, please.

Niven and Grant originally were going to play opposite roles. Grant was supposed to be the bishop, and Niven, the angel. But Grant didn't want that, and the powers that be gave him the roll he wanted, the angel.

I really couldn’t see the Angel being David Niven....so it was good they reversed the rolls. Although Cary Grant usually does play the same type of character. I often mention that George Clooney is our Cary Grant.

Kind of a magical, feel good movie. The boys choir, blows my mind.
