Did Anyone See This Yet?

Can You Ever Forgive Me? Dark humored but with brilliant performances. Melissa McCarthy and Richard E Grant should be award contenders. Loved it.

I went on election night to keep myself as busy as possible, knowing that the returns from the west coast would be ever so important. So ... I was nervous and upset when I saw on my phone that Florida and Georgia weren’t going well. Even so, I was excited to see this movie. I didn’t think the two comedic leads had chemistry. I didn’t think the would-be lover and McCarthy’s character had chemistry. I really thought it was a decent story with good actors who just didn’t click. I thought Melissa McCarthy was flat. Might have been that I could practically smell the cat feces in the main character’s apartment.

Sorry to give a bad review. I thought the reviews were off. Generally, I can take a slow movie. I’m not desperate for plot; I like character studies. This just didn’t work for me.

Just saw the last line of your op ... I will definitely try this again when it comes to On Demand.
