Why the bad reviews for "Glass"? I liked it. (Little bit spoilers.)

"Glass" was actually a pretty good movie.

The only downside I see is that the middle chapter, with the psychiatrist-sessions, was too rushed. It would take many more sessions with a patient to get this far into his mind.

Okay, it wasn't a typical superhero-movie, but that's because it wasn't supposed to be a superhero-movie about superheroes fighting supervillains. It was a thriller, a drama, from the very beginning to the very end.

Glass disappoints so brazenly, squandering all its momentum and promise, that I keep wondering if it’s done on purpose. This is a movie in which a climactic moment hinges on a pothole. Most of it takes place indoors. Not a single building gets smashed, and the villain’s elderly mom explains to everyone what a “showdown” is—and then said showdown doesn’t happen.

Oh boo-hoo.

So it’s strange that in Glass, he seems to forget what makes superhero stories (his included) endure. It’s not just the powers or the who-would-win. It’s also how people who choose to be good inspire us, and what those who choose evil tell us about ourselves.

Somebody is unhappy that Hollywood didn't press the feel-good buttons for his mind.

How dare Shyamalan make a story about superheroes that is different from the stories we are used to???

I haven't liked anything MNS put out aside from Sixth Sense. He tries to hard for his "twist".

The whole movie is a twist on super heroes. Pretty clever to keep showing the magazine cover with the word MARVEL on it. Saw a trailer for an upcoming X-Men movie that looks more horror than super hero.

It's made by 20th Century Fox. Funny thing is: Marvel can't use the word "mutant" in their movies.

Also, I'm very curious about the character Cannonball in that movie. In the comics, he's such a happy, goofy and chipper guy, until he fucks up big-time during a hostage-situation and has a mental break-down and becomes depressed and masochistic. (IIRC he eventually gets better though through therapy and friends.)
