Doing a Harry Potter marathon today
I’m on The Order of the Phoenix now. Imelda Staunton is stellar as Dolores Umbridge. It’s been a while since I’ve watched these movies and had forgotten what a wonderful job she does.
And I just tonight realized the play on words with her last name.
Umbridge is easily the most loathsome character in the series. I mean, yeah, Voldemort, Bellatrix, Wormtail, and other assorted Death Eaters are pretty despicable. There’s something so odious and downright punchable about Umbridge. It might just be Staunton’s fine work.
The kids’ acting abilities noticeably kicked up a notch in this one, as well.
Forgot to add: And Luna finally appears! Yay! Love her so much.
