The objective of Retire All Government Employees (RAGE) and freezing federal payouts is to weaken the government to the point that our democracy can be replaced with a dictatorship. What reactionaries are seeing now is a fire hose of right-wing propaganda aimed at convincing them that killing "wokeness" is just what Trump promised to do, and it's so important that ignoring the Constitution, specific laws and Congress is justified. If this power grab stands, we're already living in a dictatorship, but the cult is way ahead of them: They've already accepted the dictatorship; they just want "daddy" to fix everything by punishing the people they don't like who are getting too uppity.

city / county / state you had to be on the "Boss Hogg" side of things. The county judge determined what went on and with who. Da' Judge determined who was a deputy, who was a county clerk etc. Don't mind them elected offices like county clerk etc, The existing county clerk determined who won as they were responsible for the vote tally. Want a job in the city, first go to Da' Judge and he will tell the mayor to hire you. Need some workers for you farm or factory, go see Da' Judge and he will send some prisoners. If he doesn't have enough the Sheriff will find some young guys to arrest.

I really think this is the life that they are dreaming of.
