Elizabeth Warren calls on Americans to push against Elon Musk, DOGE: 'This is your fight' - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Elon Musk became rich and famous as an entrepreneur, but he’s quickly making a new name for himself as one of the most singular and polarizing figures of any presidential administration.

The tech titan turned government cost cutter has emerged as the central player other than Donald Trump in his three-week-old presidency, igniting debate with a blitz of moves at federal agencies.

Senator Elizabeth Warren leads a protest outside the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). This protest is one of many that has taken place all across the nation against the access that Elon Musk has to multiple federal agencies and payment systems. - 02/10/2025.

but my state tax returns (and i am told all state payouts) come on a visa card, for which i'm sure the state pays (with our money) the usual fees.

if musk can get all payments from the gov't to go through his platform, even if he only takes a few dollars per transaction "pretty soon we are talking about real money" and

if the payments are in his, or trump's, or bitcoin's crypto stuff the profits through manipulation are limitless.

The CFPB put $19.7B back into the pockets of families who were cheated by financial predators.

Let’s be honest: the only reason Trump and Musk would shut down America’s consumer watchdog is because they are corrupt—and they don’t like when anybody stops them from being corrupt.
