(52,932 posts)3. I fell in love with his comedy style when Jon Stewart
accidentally cut his hand during a skit in 2011 about Anthony Weiner and he broke a martini glass, requiring stitches. Oliver stepped right in and he was so funny. I wish they would let the viewers see it now but it's blocked. To remember it so clearly is another sign of true comedic genius.

Everyone was hoping that he'd take over as host when Jon Stewart left, but I think his current show suits him better. He can discuss serious topics which are very well researched, but there's also plenty of his brand of humor. And his string of Emmys speak to his success.
