The hospitals, especially the small ones will be hammered. And anyone with a loved one in a care facility will immediately feel the harsh cuts that will endanger the solvency of many nursing facilities. Private pay residents will also receive interrupted care. A danger to all. So basically this cut to Medicaid effects everyone who may use a hospital or nursing facility.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the president's main job, as well as elected senators and representatives, to make life better for and to protect the American people??

It has to pass the Senate first though so time will tell. Still waiting for a town hall in my area! Will make the calls in the morning and probably get answering machines to talk at! I feel like if they implement these cuts they will be revisiting this soon. My sister was in a nursing facility in Idaho when the state legislature decided not to continue with Medicaid. The aides and supplies that were funded by the program stopped immediately along with payments to the facility. It was at that point I figured out that my sister was one of the few patients who was private pay. The situation was so dire that the state had to reverse their decision relatively quickly. Sending love to you! Take care 💗💗💗🙏🏼💐

And there will be no town halls in my district, my Rep. was (unfortunately) Stefanik and not only is she gone to better (for her) greener pastures, but when she (rarely) held "town halls" they were only via phone and she'd block constituents who asked questions she didn't like or disagreed with her.

Wishing you every success!
