John Brennan says Trump has turned “America First” into “America alone” — and America’s enemies are taking notice.

Think how many stories, from the settling of America (especially the westward expansion) to starting of businesses are based on the "I did it myself, with no help from anyone" trope. Usually with additional trope of being down to their last few dollars (usually less than 500).

I can do it alone- one of the biggest myths in America.

2. You know who else has to do things by themselves?

My three year old grandchild. "I do it myself." Then she messes it up and asks me to help.

5. Yeah, but there's a difference in trying to do something by oneself,

messing up and asking for help. The "I did it myself" myth implies no one helped them at all, which, especially for starting a business, is a bunch of b.s.

3. Trump is a sellout. He's looking out for his personal financial gain over what's best for the country or the Alliances

the US used to be a part of. History has shown that there's a shared benefit to creating such political and trade alliances. Trump only thinks in terms of what he can get for himself and the people who bribed him. He's owned by Putin and Netanyahu and probably now Xi.
