Doesn't it seem shortsighted to leave NATO when we have "hot" flashpoints in Europe, Asia and the Middle East... sorta like when WWII was fought?

Also... NATO just did the 5% thing a day ago. Maybe chill and let then break out the checkbooks first? This immediate gratification thing has to go. It isn't helpful.
