It started when he was running, on both the right and left.

He was too black. He wasn’t black enough. And those slurs came from our friends, with plenty more. He “caved” on a long list of things. He was “spelunking” if the poster was trying to be clever. Everybody sooner or later got thrown under the bus. Like I said, our own side.

AFAIAC his greatest fault was a lack of tooting his own horn. He and Joe got a lot done, despite the GOP — but unlike trump, he didn’t advertise or create a Dept of Propaganda.

As for the RW, much of it was predictable — only the sheer relentless volume of the racist hatred surprised me.
