It's the idea that everyone who "trusts" Trump, who "works for" Trump, who "accepts a position" from Trump, gets ganked eventually, and it was just her turn.

And, being Tulsi Gabbard means my sympathy / empathy is running at the lowest possible level.

She "did her job" and Trump is "punishing" her for it, which is what he does with anyone who goes off script.
