I think that's where the term "ala-carte religion" comes from.
"A la carte religion" refers to a practice where individuals selectively choose which religious beliefs, practices, or doctrines to accept, often rejecting or ignoring aspects that don't align with their personal preferences or worldview. It's like choosing items from a menu, taking what appeals and leaving the rest. This contrasts with a more traditional, holistic approach where individuals adhere to the entirety of a religious tradition's teachings and practices.
