They know exactly who they are up against. Whatever else they may be, I don't see them as some sort of scandal sheet prone to tossing out unsubstantiated bullshit. I am betting they have ammo to bring to the table if sued over this.

And I suspect 47 knows it and won't follow up on his threat. He'll believe denouncing and threatening is all he has to do to "kill" the story.

Of course, time will tell.
