(649 posts)and if one feels compelled to do so, its best to do so amongst close, like-minded friends and not on social media. There seemed to be an inordinant number of teachers, professor, and medical professional who didnt think through their prominence in communities of people in the meatier part of the political bell curve.
The vast majority of left reaction I saw on X and FB wasnt overboard. But, there was quite a bit that was beneath common decency.
While not a fan of CK, I dont like that he was killed mid-debate and that it was so public and gruesome. It was not a good thing, and I prefer it didnt happen.
There were too many spiking the football, and it reflected poorly on those of us on the left side of the bell curve. A lot of non-political people have been repulsed by the unrestrained glee. I can only imagine the political ads well see of the dancing and laughing videos in 2026.
I cant imagine what we would see if something happened to Trump. The reaction to Kirks assassination wouldnt even register compared to what we would see then. Im not sure our country could survive that fallout.
Anyway, just one old mans opinion. Hopefully, this doesnt get me sent to another jury.
